Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman (IFSO)
A free external dispute-resolution scheme for complaints against participating NZ insurers and financial-services firms.
Definition
IFSO (ifso.nz) is an approved external dispute-resolution (EDR) scheme. If you have a complaint against an insurer that is a member, and the insurer’s internal complaints process has not resolved it within two months, IFSO can investigate at no cost to you. IFSO decisions are binding on the insurer up to a defined dollar limit.
